Walkthrough

  1. 1

    Introduction and objectives

    10 min

The facilitator introduces the game by explaining that it aims to explore managerial dynamics through cards representing different management styles. They clarify the objectives: to understand the impact of management styles and encourage personal reflection. Participants are invited to share their expectations for the workshop.

TipUse a personal example to illustrate the impact of a management style.

  2. 2

    Presentation of the cards

    10 min

The facilitator distributes the management style cards to the participants while briefly explaining each style. They emphasise the diversity of styles and their potential effects on the team. Participants examine the cards and ask questions if necessary.

TipEncourage participants to share their first impressions of the styles presented.

  3. 3

    Scenario simulation

    20 min

Participants are divided into small groups. Each group chooses or receives a work scenario to simulate using the management style cards. They discuss how each style would influence the situation and choose the one they would apply.

TipOffer varied scenarios to cover different professional contexts.

  4. 4

    Sharing and discussion

    15 min

Each group presents its scenario and the chosen management style. Other participants can ask questions or suggest alternatives. The facilitator guides the discussion to explore the advantages and disadvantages of each style in the given context.

TipTake visible notes on a board to summarise the key points of each discussion.

  5. 5

    Personal reflection

    10 min

Participants take a few minutes to individually reflect on their own management style and how they might adapt it. The facilitator offers reflective questions to guide this introspection.

TipEncourage participants to write their reflections on post-its to facilitate sharing.

  6. 6

    Workshop closure

    5 min

The facilitator thanks the participants for their engagement and recaps the key points discussed during the workshop. They invite everyone to share a concrete action they wish to implement following the workshop.

TipEnd on a positive note by highlighting the enriching exchanges of the session.
